CHRIST IS THE
ONLY WAY

Who doesn’t want to be on a victorious team? Winning is something everyone wants to experience.

What is the greatest and most costly battle to ever take place? Who is the victor and what is the reward? The greatest battle ever fought is between good and evil. The day that Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross, even his disciples thought the battle for good was lost. Jesus died and was buried in the tomb, sealed by a massive stone. Those who had followed him walked away in total defeat.

But Jesus didn’t remain in that dark tomb. He rose again and defeated death. He sacrificed His life for us, just as God the Father planned, in order to rescue us from our sins. God showed us His Grace, which we did nothing to earn, through Christ Jesus. Our Lord Jesus Christ broke the power over death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through this Good News.

The most important prize to be won in this life is the gift of salvation that Christ offers to each one of us. It’s impossible to live perfectly, even if you think you’re a good person and leading a moral and upright life! We are all sinners and have fallen short of God’s glorious standard. Without God, we choose to live for ourselves and the ways of this world. Without God's gift, sin separates us from Him forever. God intervened because he loves us and by His grace, we are made righteous.

John 3:16 – “For this is how God so loved the world: he gave his one and only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 10:10 - "I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”

It means when you believe in Jesus, you are restored to "a right” relationship which we were created for; you become God’s son or daughter.

John 1:12 - “But to all who believe him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”

Which Team Are You On?

How to be on the winning team and have a personal relationship with God

  • Admit you need God, repent and turn away from sin (see John 8:11)

  • Believe by faith that when Jesus died on the cross, he took the punishment for all your sins, and he rose to life again to conquer death (see John 1:29)

  • Ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior.

Here’s a prayer to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior - what really matters is the attitude of your heart not the exact wording.

Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Prayer for God’s forgiveness

Father God, I come before you just as I am. Thank you for speaking to my heart and showing me how much I need you. I know I have sinned, but I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and rose again so that all my sins, past, present and future, would be forgiven. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart. I accept you as my Savior and I ask you to be my Lord. That is to lead me out of my old life and into the new life that you died to give me. I believe that I am saved and I will spend eternity with you and I thank God for it. In the name of Jesus I pray.

You’re always on the winning team with Christ as Coach!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
